JOB TAKEHOME

Privacy & your data

What JobTakeHome stores

JobTakeHome receives a site-specific account ID and your email when you sign in through ChatGPT. It uses that ID to keep your jobs and settings separate from other users. It stores the job names, types, quotes, estimated and actual hours and costs, notes, and hourly target you enter. It does not receive your ChatGPT password or conversations.

How the information is used

Your entries calculate earnings, compare estimates with actual results, and show historical averages from your own finished jobs. Other signed-in users cannot access your job book. Keep sensitive customer details, payment information, and identity documents out of job names and notes.

Reports and support

If you submit a problem report, JobTakeHome stores the report, your sign-in email, and its submission date. The app operator can read these reports to investigate problems and may use your email to follow up. Reports are not posted publicly. Avoid including customer details in a report.

Hosting and sign-in

JobTakeHome runs on OpenAI Sites using Cloudflare hosting and database services. These providers process information needed to host the app and authenticate visitors under their own policies. JobTakeHome has no advertising, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics added by the app operator. The app records daily totals of welcome-page views, demo activity, and sign-in clicks, grouped by a sharing-link source. These anonymous counts are kept for 90 days. A first-party source cookie lasts up to seven days so the app can associate your first account visit with the source link. The operator sees aggregate account and job-completion counts by source; individual job contents are not displayed in the launch dashboard. Account visits record first and most recent access times. Short-lived hashed network identifiers rate-limit public events and recovery attempts; they are deleted after roughly one day when those endpoints receive traffic. Owner recovery uses a private key and an HttpOnly session cookie lasting seven days. Expired recovery sessions are cleaned up on the next recovery sign-in. Hosting providers may maintain technical logs for operations and security.

Retention and deletion

Your jobs and settings remain in the live app until you delete them. You can delete individual jobs, or use Account → Delete my JobTakeHome data to remove your jobs, target settings, submitted reports, and your account-attribution record from the live database. Anonymous aggregate event totals cannot be traced back to you and are not removed by account deletion. This does not delete your ChatGPT account. Deletion cannot recall copies you made elsewhere or immediately remove provider-managed logs or backups, which follow the providers’ retention practices.

Contact

Sign in and use Account → Report a problem for support or privacy questions. Reports are reviewed through the operator’s inbox; a response time is not guaranteed.

About the numbers

JobTakeHome’s profit figure is the customer price less recorded materials and other expenses, before your own labor and taxes. Historical suggestions reflect only the jobs you enter. Review job scope and your own overhead before relying on a suggested quote.
